Dr. Evans teaches in the Recreation Program. She came to Southeast Missouri State University from the University of Maine at Machias where she served 4 1/2 years as Assistant Professor in the Recreation Management Program. As a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional she worked in the field for 25 years. Dr. Evans teaches the core recreation degree courses. Her research interests include the impacts of technology on student-centered learning projects and community development through recreation in Native American Communities. She serves as Student Scholarship Trustee to the Missouri Park and Recreation Association.
