The Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation offers both teaching and research graduate assistantships. Graduate assistantships at Southeast Missouri State University include in- or out-of-state tuition waivers and a stipend ($7,600 during the 2007-2008 academic year).
The graduate assistantship is a 0.5 FTE position, thus students are committed to 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Teaching exercise physiology laboratory sessions, introductory health classes, and activity courses; supervising open lab times; assisting faculty with research activities.
Qualifications: Acceptance to the Southeast Missouri State University Graduate School. CPR/AED Certification.
