The Southeast Missouri State University Interior Design Program collects and publishes reliable information to the public regarding student achievement, including aggregate data addressing attrition and retention, graduation rates, job placement rates, and acceptance into graduate programs.

  Attrition and Retention:
  • 80% of the incoming students enrolled during the fall 2015 semester returned in spring 2016 resulting in attrition for second-semester at 20%.
  • 72% of the incoming students enrolled during the spring 2015 semester returned in fall 2015 resulting in attrition for second-semester at 28%.
 Graduation Rates:
  • 75% of the fall 2015 graduates completed their degree within 3 ½ - 4 ½ years and one returning student (25%) completed her degree in 7 years.
  • 100% of the summer 2015 graduates completed their degree within 4 ½ years.
  • 100% of the spring 2015 graduates completed their degree within 4 - 4 ½ years.
 Job Placement Rates:
  • 100% of the fall 2015 graduates were employed in the interior design field within 1 month of graduation.
  • 100% of the summer 2015 graduates were employed in the interior design field upon graduation.
  • 100% of the spring 2015 graduates were employed in the interior design field within three months of graduation.
 Acceptance into Graduate Programs:
  • 100% of the spring 2014 graduates who applied into the Master of Arts in Human Environmental Studies graduate program at Southeast Missouri State University were accepted.
  • None of the spring 2015, summer 2015, or fall 2015 graduates applied to graduate programs.
