An advising appointment is required each semester to be eligible to enroll.
How to enroll for classes
You must obtain your alternate PIN from your advisor in your advising appointment each semester to be eligible to enroll. Keep your alternate pin number; you will need it throughout the semester. The alternate pin number is different for each semester. Please check the portal prior to your appointment to verify that you do not have any holds on your account to prevent enrollment.
When to enroll in classes for the next semester
Priority registration for spring semester typically begins in November. Registration for summer begins in February; fall registration begins in April.
When to schedule an advising appointment
Contact your advisor in early February for an advising appointment for summer and/or fall registration. Advising for the spring semester begins in early October.
How to find out who your advisor is
Students are assigned to a faculty advisor when a major is declared, with the exception of Pre-Nursing students. Pre-Nursing majors must be admitted to the Nursing Program to be advised by faculty in the department. The Pre-Nursing student is assigned to the College of Health and Human Services Advising Center until admitted.
You can find your assigned advisor in the portal as follows.
