Coordinator - Administrative Operations
Gwendolyn Duncan joined the University in 1987 as the Graduate Records Specialist in the Dean of Graduate Studies and Extended Learning Office. She has since served the University in multiple capacities throughout the years. She received both her business administration and master’s degrees in higher education administration from Southeast Missouri State University. In her role as Coordinator for Administrative Operations, she works to make sure that all students who need housing have a bed within the residential system. Her routine responsibilities include tracking changes in occupancy, managing the housing contract and room placement processes. She serves as the system administrator for the major software used by the office and handles verification of residency compliance. Additionally she coordinates the marketing efforts of the department
Duncan enjoys the interaction she has with parents and students of Southeast. She is a great supporter of the student athletes living in the buildings. Through the years, she and her family have hosted a number of international students in their home and served as a speaking partner for many. Her time away from campus includes community service work, cooking, camping and socializing with friends and family. She recently begun speaking Spanish and enjoys engaging students from Spanish speaking countries in short conversations.
