Coordinator for Student Leadership and Residential Experiences
Kari Talik joined the University in Fall of 2012 as the Coordinator for Student Leadership and Residential Experiences. In her role as the Coordinator, Talik will be promoting academic partnerships in the residence halls through enhancing living learning communities at Southeast. In addition, Talik will be collaborating with different offices at Southeast to coordinate early arrivals and camps and conferences. Lastly, in Talik’s role she will be working with residential student leaders in the capacity of advisory of Residence Hall Association (RHA) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH).
Talik is originally from “Pure Michigan” where she completed her Bachelor of Science at Central Michigan University. After undergrad, Talik continued on to receive a Master of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education at Indiana State University. Thus far Talik has worked in Residence Life at multiple institution including Indiana State, Ferris State, and James Madison University in various capacities and now excited to be a part of Southeast’s residence life program.
In Talik’s free time she enjoys the outdoors, traveling, sports, cooking, shopping, and gambling.
