Heather Brake joined the University in 2006 and has been a member of the Office of Residence Life staff since the 2009-2010 school year during which time she served as a Graduate Hall Director. Upon graduation in May 2010 with her Masters degree, Heather accepted a position as a full-time Hall Director for the department. In the role as the Myers Hall Director, Brake is responsible for supervising a building of approximately 200 students and a staff of five Resident Assistants.

Brake is a Jefferson College and Southeast Missouri State University graduate, earning her Associate of Arts degree from Jefferson College and her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degree from Southeast. 

Outside of the office, Brake is the advisor for Gamma Sigma Sigma, a National Service Sorority and a volunteer with Southeast’s Alumni Association.
