Welcome to the Human Resources Office’s Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) web site.  This web site is designed to help ensure successful implementation of the Privacy Rule requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). In addition, it provides links to internal information resources supporting the HIPAA regulations, privacy and security practices.

HIPAA is a complex statute that will affect the University’s covered component in several ways, including operations, policies, information technology systems, contractual relationships with partners in health care delivery and training.
