Cafeteria Plan Funding for the Medical Base Plan
If electing the Base Plan, employees will receive $750.00 (or $62.50 per month). Part-time employees will receive a prorated Cafeteria Plan contribution based on the employee's percentage of assignment. An employee hired mid-year will receive a cafeteria plan contribution based on the remaining pay periods for the year. This Cafeteria Plan contribution of $750 will be applicable to the following insurance coverages:
- Employee's portion of medical premium (applicable to part-time employees only)
- Health Savings Account
- Dependent Medical Insurance
- Employee and Dependent Vision Insurance
- Employee and Dependent Dental Insurance
- Dependent Care Assistance Plan Account or Medical Reimbursement Account
Cafeteria Plan Funding for the Medical Accelerated Plan
If electing the Accelerated Plan, employees will receive $250.00 (or $20.83 per month). Part-time employees will receive a prorated Cafeteria Plan contribution based on the employee's percentage of assignment. An employee hired mid-year will receive a cafeteria plan contribution based on the remaining pay periods for the year. This Cafeteria Plan contribution of $250.00 will be applicable to the following insurance coverages:
- Employee's portion of medical premium
- Dependent Medical Insurance
- Employee and Dependent Vision Insurance
- Employee and Dependent Dental Insurance
- Dependent Care Assistance Plan Account
- Medical Reimbursement Account
If Cafeteria Plan dollars are not spent in full, remaining dollars cannot be spent on other benefits or credited to the employee.
