A representative from the Social Security Administration Office in Cape Girardeau will be on campus to present information on Social Security retirement and Medicare coverage. Two identical sessions have been scheduled. The first session is from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, and the second session is from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Both sessions will be held in the University Center Redhawks Room. Walk-ins are welcome. Questions concerning these sessions can be directed to Alissa Vandeven, Human Resources, at ext. 2206.
Dale Stuckey, education specialist from the state of Missouri Deferred Compensation Plan, will be conducting an educational seminar regarding the Roth 457 plan offering. This seminar will be offered from 10-11 a.m. on Aug. 4 in the University Center Redhawks Room. To register for the educational seminar, employees should access the state of Missouri's Deferred Compensation Plan's website at www.modeferredcomp.org and click on "Register for a Seminar or Consultation." Stuckey also will be available after the seminar concludes until 3 p.m. that day for individual appointments. The UnitedHealthcare Sherpa program was introduced as a limited pilot in 2011 to test a new model for non-clinical cancer support. Last year it was expanded to over 3.6 million eligible members and has proven to be a valuable consumer service. On March 1, 2014 Sherpa will automatically become available to 5.6 million additional UnitedHealthcare members that are covered under employer plans with 100 or more.
Sherpa does not require any action on the part of brokers, employers or UnitedHealthcare representatives, but the program has been well received by members, and employers may be interested in learning more.
Sherpa is a concierge customer service model that provides non-clinical assistance to UnitedHealthcare members who have been diagnosed with cancer.

When a UnitedHealthcare member is identified as a possible cancer patient, Sherpa support is automatically engaged; there is no enrollment process. The service center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
The updated prescription drug lists (PDLs) can be viewed on the UHC website. Members affected by any PDL changes should receive a letter form UHC.
