The 2013 medical insurance will be offered through UnitedHealthcare. UnitedHealthcare is offering a choice of two medical plan insurance plans, Base Plan (formerly Plan B) with MRA and HSA options and Accelerated Plan (formerly Plan A). The Accelerated Plan is available to all retirees and the Base Plan is available to retirees under 65 only. UnitedHealthcare has a preferred provider network nationwide and offers prescription drug coverage through retail pharmacies and Medco for mail order prescriptions.
Medical Plan Summaries
For those retirees who have UnitedHealthcare as a secondary coverage to another insurance carrier, the retiree will need to mail Medicare a Medicare Cross Over Enrollment Form. The address for Medicare is in the upper left hand corner of the form. This process may take several weeks to complete.
