All students from abroad who wish to study at Southeast Missouri State University are required to submit the following:
Application for International Student Admission
Non-refundable Application fee of $40.00 (US Dollars)
Covers processing and mailing of admission documents. Check or Dollar Draft payable to “Southeast Missouri State University” OR credit card submission (#14). Please include the name of the applicant on the check or money order.
Complete Transcripts (Mark Sheets)
For secondary and post-secondary levels AND graduation confirmation. Official copies or certified (true) copies or your original documents are required. If your documents are not in English, you must also provide certified English translations. Post-secondary (college/university) transcripts require course descriptions in English to determine credit transferability. Course descriptions are NOT required for admission, but they should be sent prior to arrival. ONLY Graduate applicants with 3 year bachelor's (or 3+1) are required to submit a WES evaluation that shows equivalency to a 4 year US bachelor's degree.
Affidavit of Support and Financial Verification (#13)
Financial documents must be dated within 12 months of the date of application.You will be held personally responsible for all expenses you incur while in school at Southeast, even if you are sponsored by another person or agency. You will be required to prove your financial ability to the U.S. Consulate in order to be approved for your visa. Southeast Missouri State University has no federal or state funds which are available to foreign students as mandated by law.

Please submit a photocopy of your current I-20 or DS-2019.
If Available, Submit a Copy of Your Passport
Ensure an accurate I-20 or DS-2019 (not required).

Please check whether your specific program requires additional materials.
Application Deadlines
- Fall Semester - June 1 for IEP or graduate applicants (extended to July 1st for Fall 2012 undergraduate applicants)
- Spring Semester - October 1,
- Summer Semester (IEP only) - April 1
- Acceptance letters or I-20s are not guaranteed after these dates.
