Office of International Education & Services Scholarship

(for students with admission dates as of March 2012 or beyond)

Newly admitted undergraduate students (new and transfer) in good academic standing are eligible for the Office of International Education & Services scholarship, in the amount of $2,000.00 ($1,000.00 per semester), starting in your first fall or spring term.  To continue receiving this scholarship, you must be a full-time student and have a Southeast GPA of 2.5 or higher.  Please note that you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship if you are awarded a full scholarship from outside sources.  The scholarship also may not be combined with Regents' or Governor's merit awards.

Returning undergraduate students (i.e. students who had a gap and did not enroll for at least one fall or spring term) are eligible for the scholarship above if they have 2.5 Southeast GPA and 2.5 transfer GPA (US and international credits combined) upon their return.

Newly admitted graduate students (new and transfer) in good academic standing are eligible for the Office of International Education & Services scholarship, in the amount of $2,000.00 ($1,000.00 per semester), starting in your first fall or spring term.  To continue receiving this scholarship, you must be a full-time student and have a Southeast GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Please note that you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship if you accept a graduate assistantship (GA) position or a full scholarship from outside sources.

Merit Scholarships

International students are also eligible for consideration for merit scholarships. No separate application is required to apply for merit scholarships, but students must apply before the unique deadline(s) stated.  Please note that freshman merit applicants must submit application materials during the fall of their final year of high school, including official SAT/ACT scores. If awarded a merit scholarship, a scholarship offer packet will be mailed at a later date.  Also note that students who are awarded Regents' or Governors' merit scholarships are no longer eligible for the $2000 international scholarship referenced above.
