A Message from the IET Department Chair

Photo of Dr. Ragu AthinarayananWelcome! As you will note, the site is designed to be user friendly and pleasing to scan. Also, our site, as well as our entire program, is student-centered.  That is, it is designed with the student in mind.

As you investigate our program, it will become apparent that our faculty and staff are devoted to your success in the program.  This dedication of faculty and staff is manifested in the vast amounts of time directed to advising and guiding our students, in and out of the classroom.

We would invite and encourage you to come to the Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology and learn about our programs, professors, and the job opportunities which will be opened up to you as a graduate of our program. Additionally, you are also encouraged to come and take a tour of our facilities and the highly technical, state-of-the-art labs and classrooms.  We're housed in a super modern seventy thousand square foot facility, which represents the direction and focus of our program with new and ever-changing technology.

The Technology Management program is accredited by the Association of Technology Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) and, as such, is recognized nationally.  The Engineering Technology program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Come be a part of these exciting activities.

Sincerely,

Ragu Athinarayanan, Chairperson
Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology
