The Southeast Innovation Center Business Incubator comprises the third floor of the 920 Broadway building. Small businesses involved in service, research, technology development, assembly or light manufacturing may apply for location in the incubator. The building’s first floor houses the broadest range of small business resources available under one roof in Missouri including the U.S. Small Business Adminstration and the Small Business Development Center.
The Business Incubator is unique in that it offers physical space as well as virtual incubator services including:
- Business development planning
- Coaching
- Access to investment capital
- SBIR proposal training
- Direct consulting services
- Offsite equipment and product testing
- Intern support
- Referrals to professional services
Perhaps the most exciting feature of the facility is access to the world of academic resources at Southeast Missouri State University.

MRC board members Frank Stokes and C. Michael Dambach; Ameren UE Director Mike Kearney; and MRC CEO Dennis Roedemeier. These gentleman toured the Business Incubator in June 2007 during the grand opening featuring guest Governor Matt Blunt.
