Louise Marler is a local artist from the Ste. Genevieve area. Her family wishes to invite everyone to the local showing of her photographs featuring what Ste. Genevieve citizens refer to as the "Auto Graveyard" in their town. Ms. Marler has taken many photos of the area's decaying automobiles, and it's mosquitos, snakes and various other "critters and some say maybe a ghost," according to townspeople. Ms. Marler hopes her art will inspire people to become more environmentally responsible by utilizing more suitable products and fuels.
The initial exhibit will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Arts Council is open every day, except Sunday, and will feature Ms. Marler's photography through the end of May. The Missouri Research Corporation, in its quest to continue supporting environmentally friendly partners, wishes Ms. Marler much success.
