Summer Time Photos "Lasting Memories for All Seasons" "Owning a studio has been a dream of mine ever since I started taking pictures, and because of the Operation Jump-Start program, I realized that my ideas could come true," boasts Summer Eaton, of Greenville, Mo. "The classes gave me the confidence that I needed to go for my dreams." The grant Summer Time Photos was awarded allowed Summer to purchase all of the equipment that she needed to have a traveling photo studio (a Photoshop editing package, new lighting and many backdrops and props.) She was even able to purchase the Epson camera and printer she'd been wanting, but just couldn't afford. She is now taking pictures for family portraits, sporting events, weddings, wildlife, and other special occasions. She was able to set her pricing to be competative in her area, based on the knowledge she gained in the Operation Jump-Start classes, she said. "The classes showed me how important the little things are and because of that, I was able to see exactly what areas I needed to pay more attention to," Summer said. "Without that knowledge I wouldn't have the clients that I have now." "After going through the classes, I was able to open Summer Time Photos two years earlier than expected and after only a couple of months, I am already making a profit, " she said. Summer recommends the entrepreneurial training courses and said she hopes it can help others in as many ways as it has helped her. "The classes were excellent, very informative and a class every new business owner should take," she said. Summer Eaton
