Mineral Area Pro-Wash Curtis Turner had opened Mineral Area Pro Wash in 2006. However, Curtis worked full-time, and sometimes overtime at his 'day' job, yet he knew he wanted to spend more time as a small business owner. At his full-time job, he became friends with a man who had attended Operation Jump-Start. He told Curtis that he learned how to design a business plan and was awarded grant money to expand his business. Curtis called the Innovation Center to see how he too could become part of the course. As fate would have it, Curtis' business plan was awarded grant funding, and he was able to purchase most of his additional pressure washing supplies, hoses and equipment to expand Mineral Area Pro Wash into a full-time business. Getting all of the new additional items this past spring was a real boost for Curtis' business, he said. By May/June 2007, Curtis was so busy that he was starting to expand his services and through word-of-mouth, was expanding his service area as well. Mineral Area Pro Wash prides itself on its professional and courteous service for commercial and residential pressure washing. Curtis and Melinda Turner |
