*Reminder: SAT/ACT scores are optional for Undergraduate Admission, but they may be used to demonstrate English proficiency and scholarship eligibility

STEP 7 - Update your email address book.

STEP 8 - Mail your official transcripts/certificates to SEMO.

The transcripts you upload in the online application are considered unofficial, and your application is not complete until we receive official transcripts/certificates by mail.

STEP 1 – Collect all the necessary application materials you need:

  • Official college or university transcripts and degree certificates
  • Certified translations of transcripts (if not in English)
  • English proficiency verification
  • Proof of finances/financial documents
  • Passport
  • Specific requirements for your graduate program as indicated here: http://www.semo.edu/gradschool/checklist.html (GRE, GMAT, Reference Letters, Personal Statements, etc.)

If you are in the U.S.:

If you are outside the U.S.:

  • Course Descriptions
  • Certified translations of Course Descriptions (if not in English)

Additionally, ensure you do not have any outstanding financial balances and you are in good academic and judicial standing with SEMO. If your name has changed since your last enrollment at Southeast, please provide proof of name change. A copy of one of the following documents is acceptable: state driver's license, official state identification card, U.S. passport, military identification, marriage certificate or divorce documents.

STEP 2 – Scan and save copies of all your application materials

Please note:

  • Save scanned documents into .pdf format, if possible.
  • When scanning documents, including passport, please be sure the entire document is included in the scan
  • Include the student's name in the file name you create.
  • For example:
    • Beyonce Knowles Financial Statement.pdf
    • Christiano Renaldo Transcript.pdf
  • Scans of official transcripts must include the front and back side of all pages, even if one is blank
  • Whenever possible, scanned copies should be in full color

STEP 3 – Go to http://www.semo.edu/international/apply.html to create an account and submit an application.

Please note: Graduate applicants on a F1 student visa may apply for August (Fall) or January (Spring) entry terms only.

STEP 4 – Once your application is submitted, go back to “My Account” to upload your scanned application materials.

NOTE: Please do not do the following:
  1. Do not upload the same scanned documents multiple times
  2. Do not share a DropBox folder with us that contains all your documents
  3. Do not email the scanned documents to us - all documents must be uploaded with the online application
  4. Do not upload zipped (or compressed) files
  5. Do not upload transcripts from U.S. and Canadian schools. Transcripts from U.S. and Canadian schools must be posted to us directly from the school. 

STEP 5 – Request your sponsor to verify financial support by going to http://semo.edu/intlaffidavit

STEP 6 – If you are sending test scores to SEMO:

Official test scores (IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, etc.) that are part of your application must be sent to us directly from the examination company. The scores you upload in the online application are considered unofficial, and your admission is not complete until we receive official scores from the examination company.
