Tara Cooper: Journal Entry 1/30/2008 Ah, so I finally feel as though I have a few things to write about. This past weekend I had tons of fun. On Friday night I attended the gymnastics meet (Southeast won!) and then went to the midnight movie. Once a month, SAC (Student Activities Council) sponsors a midnight movie at the local movie theatre. It is free admittance for all Southeast students, and they also give away popcorn and soda at no charge! This weekend the movie was, “The Simpson’s Movie.” I wasn’t particularly interested in seeing that film, but it was a really fun experience with friends. On Saturday I lounged and slept all day, then watched a movie in a friend’s room. After the movie it was only 10:00 pm so we all decided to go to Wal-Mart and buy a game or whatever caught our eye. We ended up buying a random assortment: snacks, lemonade, batteries, and Scattergories. My friend Marissa also took a ride on a mechanical bull. :) When we returned to the dorms, we proceeded to play Scattergories for two hours. It was probably the most hilarious time I have ever had playing that game. I laughed harder than I had in a long time. On Sunday I went to church, ate lunch at El Terrero with my boyfriend, my roommate, and her boyfriend. After that I took a nap, cranked out an English paper, and went to a bible study. The rest of this week has gone by at a moderate pace. I was invited to rush for a sorority, but after consideration I realized that I just don’t have the money to do that. I will probably just get involved elsewhere. Alas, I must end this journal…. Rowdy’s is calling my name. |
