Tara Cooper's messy room

Tara Cooper: Journal Entry 2/8/2008

Last weekend was amazing. I went to my boyfriend’s house for Super Bowl weekend and I had a great time.  I was able to play a tiring game of soccer in the snow.   I was a great defender, but all the running really wiped me out.  On Sunday I went to church, ate some Chinese food, took a nap, and then watched the Super Bowl.  It was AWESOME!   I was on the edge of my seat the whole second half.  Eric and I drove back to school that night, not ready to being another week of school.  On Monday morning, my psychology professor returned our tests.  I was very nervous because although I stayed up until 2:00 am studying, I didn’t know how well I did.  I ended up getting a 96% and I was very excited!  The rest of a week has been a blur.  I finally chose a psychology topic for my end-of-semester presentation (Psychological effects of motherhood), so that is a relief.  Nothing else happened that was very eventful this week.   As usual, my room is a slight mess due to it being Friday and the fact that my roommate had to get ready for work and leave quickly.

One tip I have for any incoming freshmen: If a professor puts on a movie for you to watch, do not leave class.  This week we watched a movie in my Art class and at least half the class got up and left.  Those of us who stayed were awarded extra credit and the professor’s undying respect.

I am excited because I might be able to help in the nursery at my church, and because I also saw a sign posted needing a babysitter.  I got the number and I hope that I will have the guts to call and that it will be a good opportunity to earn some money, play with kids, and be involved in the community.

Well, I am off to the rec center!
