Tara Cooper: Journal Entry 2/25/2008

This past week has been crazy!  The university closed on Monday at 11 a.m. due to a wild winter ice storm and remained closed until Thursday at 10 a.m.  Venturing outside during those days was a challenge.  EVERYTHING was coated in ice.  The ground appeared to be snow covered, but upon closer examination I discovered that it was all ice.  It was nice to have some unexpected cancelled classes, but I am sure I will be paying for it in the end.  Thursday was Valentine’s Day and I was able to enjoy a nice trip to the mall, a relaxing time at Barnes and Noble, and a delicious dinner at Olive Garden with my wonderful boyfriend.  I also had an eventful Saturday.  That night was Ladies Night Out for Campus Outreach.  All the girls were able to dress up and be escorted to the church and served dinner by a slew of handsome guys.  Dinner was delicious, and I had a great time with the girls.  The rest of the weekend was a relaxing mix of napping, TV, and homework.
