Tara Cooper: Journal Entry 04/04/2008 I had a ton of fun this past weekend hanging out with new friends and doing random things. On Friday night I went out to dinner with a few people from Campus Outreach. It was fun to meet new people and laugh at their craziness. Then I went to a word feast at Stewart’s (the leader of Campus Outreach) house. I got to talk to a few girls there and start building new relationships and it was pretty exciting. Then some guys called me and asked if I wanted to go downtown to the Cup ‘n Cork and listen to a live musician. I decided that it sounded like fun so I tagged along. I am really glad I did because those boys are hilarious. I spent lots of time laughing at their stories and male behavior. I do not like coffee but the guys insisted that I try a coffee type product. I don’t remember what it was called, but it was pretty good. The caffeine did keep me up for quite awhile that night though. After that, a bunch of us wanted to go to the midnight movie. We had some time to kill so I was randomly taken to an empty parking lot and taught how to drive a stick shift. It was kind of scary, but apparently I did better than a lot of people. The car didn’t even jerk or die until the very end! I was pretty proud of myself. On Saturday I basically worked on a psychology presentation all day. That night I watched Dumb and Dumber with some people and played scrabble. On Sunday morning I went to church, ate lunch at the Mongolian Grill, then went to the library until it was time to go to bible study. On Monday I rode to Arkansas with a friend. She had a dentist appointment there and doesn’t like driving alone so I accompanied her. On the way back to Cape Girardeau it was dark and was raining more than I have ever seen! I was very nervous but we made it back safely. The rest of this week has gotten progressively worse. I have had a ton of homework and things to do, and last night I was up until 3 a.m. studying for a test. I woke up at 7 a.m. and I really have no idea how I am functioning right now. The bad thing is that I still have so much to do and I have another huge test tomorrow so it will probably be another late night. I really need some sleep. I think I am going to take a nap because I am so wiped out. OH! I finally declared a major – Psychology! |
