Preparing for finals.

Tara Cooper: Journal Entry: 04/25/2008

It is Thursday. My crazy week is almost over and I have breathed a huge sigh of relief. This week began on Sunday with a glorious sunny day and temperatures in the seventies. Unfortunately I spent my afternoon in the library attempting to work on my horrendous psychology presentation. After a few hours, the allure of the spring sunshine could be resisted no longer and I ventured outside to the terraces where I sat and soaked in the beauty of nature. On Monday I put my nose to the grindstone and accomplished a lot on my project. I felt as though I had a good grasp on what I wanted to discuss during my presentation, so I decided to reward myself by taking a break to go to a friend’s aunt’s house for dinner. The food was delicious and the company was fun and I was glad that I went. On Tuesday I worked steadily on my project, although I did take a few breaks. I always underestimate the time it will take me to complete a task and I ended up going to bed at 3:30 am. My friend Tyler convinced me that I should get up a little early and eat breakfast and practice my presentation one more time so I would be fully awake and ready for class. I reluctantly agreed and ended up getting only three and a half hours of sleep. My presentation was a full twenty minutes. It flew by and I really have no idea how I did. The rest of the day was absolutely wonderful due to the fact that a load of stress was off my shoulders and that it was eighty-five degrees outside. It was the most beautiful day of the year so far. I now have to write a research paper and prepare for my English final which is Saturday morning at 8:30. Yuck.
