Hi everyone!! I’m so sorry it has been this long since I have written a journal entry. I can only try to tell you how busy I have been!
Well my last journal entry I was getting ready for my Fall Break. It was awesome but busy. My parents both turned 50 in October so I decided to throw them a surprise 50th birthday party. I didn’t know how hard it would be to plan a party with me being only two hours away. They really enjoyed the party. They were surprised until they came to the place I had it held, but that is ok, they still had fun with their friends.
The weekend of Halloween was also our Homecoming down here. It was a blast. The Sundancers marched in the parade in front of the Golden Eagles Marching Band. We marched all the way down Broadway until we reached the river front. Cape Girardeau really supports SEMO. It was also neat seeing all the little girls look up to us and try to mimic us. Reminds me of when I was a little girl! The game was long, but the football team won! Then I went back and got ready for the dance I was going to. Here the different fraternities hold the formals. I am dating a Sigma Phi Epsilon (Sig Ep) so I was his date for the evening. We had so much fun. We always do. That was a late evening, but we had to re-energize ourselves for another fun night. Although Halloween fell on Sunday, that didn’t stop the campus from celebrating. I went to a Sig Ep costume party. I was a French maid and my date was an Ostrich Jockey. It was funny looking. That weekend was probably the most fun I’ve had in a long time! It really is fun here at Southeast.
School is still going good. My English class is still my hardest that is why I chose a major that has to do with numbers. Math is my best subject besides Accounting. We only have two weeks left until Thanksgiving. I cannot wait.
Basketball season started so the Sundancers are even busier! I love it though! This weekend we are hosting a SunBeams Clinic, which is a clinic for little kids. Well, I think this is long enough. I guess I did have a lot to say since it had been awhile. I’m sorry again and hopefully it won’t happen again!
Here is a picture of our squad on Show-Me Day (11/6). We perform there also. If you’ve come, you’ve seen us. We were missing two of our girls.
