Nikki Eggleston: Journal Entry 11/29/2004

Hello All!!  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I did!  The last week and a half have been pretty busy.  I haven’t received the best rest lately, but hey it is college, you aren’t supposed to sleep.  I’m kidding.

Well the weekend before Thanksgiving, I was in the Transitions Dance Concert here on campus.  The Dance Department puts on a concert every year and I was lucky to be a part of it.  The Sundancers did a dance and I was also in a dance with two other girls that I danced with at my dance studio back home called St. Peters Academy of Dance.  We performed an acapella tap number (meaning no music).  It was awesome.  Then on Friday night after the show we (the Sundancers) went to a party by the Phi Mu Alpha’s, thrown in honor of us.  They are the Music fraternity.  It was a blast, and they sure can sing!!!

On Saturday night after our final show of the concert, my friends, Ashley and Brittany, came down to visit me.  They attend a different university.  We went to the Sig Ep White Trash Bash.  It was fun.  The point of the whole night is to look absolutely disgusting and definitely hillbilly like.  I had so much fun with my two best friends.  That is the hardest thing about school is not being able to see your good friends who don’t go here all the time.

This past weekend, it was very relaxing.  We didn’t have school the Wednesday before Turkey day, so it was an extra day of rest for me.  Although, I went home and I found out that I was sick with Strep Throat along with a virus and a sinus infection.  So I had to go to the doctor.  It was fun hanging out with my family.  I was able to talk to them about a lot of things and I was able to do my laundry for FREE!!  I really miss my family.

Well, back to school.  We will only be here for another 3 weeks and then it is semester break.  It is hard to believe it has gone by so fast.  Finals are the third week, so classes have started the last lessons so we have time for the final.  Well, have fun y’all and I will write soon.
