Thanksgiving break was very relaxing.   Although, I didn't get a chance to see everyone I wanted to see while at home, I had fun with those that came around.  Catching up on hours of lost sleep was an advantage that I haven't had since I came to SEMO.

For years my family would travel to Detroit or Memphis for the holidays, but this year we decided to stay at home.  On Thanksgiving, my mother and I ate dinner together and watched all of the holiday marathons on TV.  I was very thankful for the holiday, but the real fun didn't begin until 3 a.m. the next morning.  My mother woke me the next morning to for the Black Friday Sales or (after Thanksgiving day sales).  I love shopping and I wasn't about to turn down a shopping date.  We stood in line for 3 hours so that she could buy a digital camera that was on sale.  We didn't stop shopping until about 2 that afternoon.

After all of the shopping, I got done and all the sleep I was able to get I had to realize that all good things have to come to an end. Sunday morning, I woke up realizing that it was time for me to go back to school and hit the books.  I also woke up that morning hoping to pack up some leftovers, but my dog changed all of my plans.  My dog found a way to get to the delicious turkey my mother made.  I walked into the kitchen to find nothing but bones and a sick dog on the floor. So back to college food for me.  While everyone was finishing up their leftovers on Monday, I had to settle for on campus dining.
