November is here and I feel EXHAUSTED...

DANCE CONCERT!  DANCE CONCERT!  DANCE CONCERT!

So the dates for the concert are the 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th.  All shows are at 7:30pm and you can get tickets at the box office in Grauel or by just calling them.  This concert is going to ROCK!  It better…Sunday and Monday we have tech rehearsals, Tuesday we have a dress rehearsal (costumes with no makeup), and full dress rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday!  CRAZY!  I’m posting pictures of a few of the pieces I’m that we took today in rehearsal, and yesterday at the Rose Theater during a Crew Watch.

So my scheduling is complete, I know what classes I’m in and what I need to be taking, I just need to get into all those classes.  I register on the last day, which is a total BUMMER, but I’ll try and get all my classes – I’m waking up AT 4am (when registering starts) to get into my classes…because I like the classes that I have planned out!  21 credit hours…yep…slightly insane (OK, a lot of insane…), but I think it’ll be fun.  I’ve got my Chem2 and Dance History, my honors English class and my biology classes and my maths.  I have my technique (dance) classes too – and I can’t wait for those.  I spoke to my advisor about undergraduate research too, and I can start doing that once I have 45 credit hours – FUN!  I seriously can’t wait.  My roomie is starting the nursing program and needs to go shopping for her supplies, like her blood pressure cuffs, stethoscope, and a few other things and I can’t wait to go with her!  There was a hot pink stethoscope in the UC and I almost got it…just because it was hot pink (yeah I know…a waste of money for the time being…)

I’m officially the masseuse of the Dance Concert – well, probably of the whole Theater & Dance Department.  I took a massage class in High school, and ever since anyone has known that, I’ve been busy massaging peoples’ backs, legs, knees, hands…it’s crazy!  I just gave one of my dance partners a two and a half hour massage!  I always give massages to my dance partners, because I figure that since they are the ones lifting me, I need to make sure I do what I can to keep their bodies in good condition…or else there will be no one to lift me…right?  Haha!

COME TO THE DANCE CONCERT!  And look for our posters!  They’re the blue ones that say “Dance-A-Palooza” on them!  And for all you math geeks (particularly those who have taken a calculus class), the blue pattern in the background is part of the Mandelbrot Set.  Woot!
