Deanna Gorman: Journal Entry 11/07/2007 I am so excited that we only have five more weeks until winter break. Time has passed so quickly that it does not even seem the semester is almost over. I am patiently waiting on Thanksgiving break because that’s when I get to see all of my family and I definitely get to see my son. Because I am not far from home, I tend to go home every weekend to visit my family, who I miss being around daily. Sometimes I find myself being bored in my dorm room, laying on my futon, watching television, while procrastinating about doing my work. I find great joy whenever someone comes and knock on my door to go out and find something exciting to do. Even though I waste a lot of time doing nothing, I do make time to do school work (which is very important to me). I am not pleased with my grades so far. They’re not terrible grades, quite average, but not satisfying enough for me. Several things that I am expecting to do while I am attending Southeast are making lots of friends, setting a good example for the ones who look up to me, and mostly excel in everything that I do. |
