I now understand what the “college life” everyone talks about is like. This week was midterms. I had a test in every single one of my classes. I stayed up until 3 o’clock in the morning Sunday through Tuesday night preparing for all the projects due and studying for tests. The fun thing that I found to happen in the midst of this stressful time was that everyone else I knew was also up at 3 in the morning. The floor was active which helped me to stay awake while studying. The only thing making these midterms worth while is the promise of fall break—a four day weekend. Everyone was counting down the hours until their last midterm is over. I personally just finished my last test.
I’m getting ready to leave and go to my home of St. Louis. I’m looking forward to it, but in actuality I have a doctor’s appointment to get my meningitis shot. Ouch!! It is something that all freshmen should do because people who live in dorms are more prone to getting meningitis (or so they tell us anyway).
Well I better go, I just parked in illegal parking to load up my stuff for home and got a ticket! When the university gives parking instructions you better follow them because they do give tickets adamantly.
I know, I know, a great way to start my fall break—with a ticket and an appointment to get a shot. Hopefully the rest of my weekend will be a lot better!
