A new semester has begun. I’m looking forward to it. All of my teachers seem so personable. I’m excited to see what challenges and opportunities they have to offer me. That was a completely true statement too. I am that much of a geek.
It’s strange that last semester everyone got into the same routine. In my routine I always saw the same people. When I walked from Johnson to Scully I always pass the same people. Now that everyone has new routines everything is mixing up. I’ve seen so many people that I have never laid eyes on before. This is so exciting. I almost feel like I go to a completely different school except I have all my friends with me this time. I have classes in buildings I didn’t even see when I took tours here while I was still in high school. Everything is a new experience. I have so many new opportunities to make friends.
There are also a lot of transfer students who came from different schools. I have three new girls on my floor. It’s fun to have them around. It is also fun to not feel like the new inexperienced kid. Now people are asking me where buildings are and for directions. It makes me feel accomplished somehow. Some new kid even asked me where the spoons were in the cafeteria. I must be giving off that ‘ask me, I know everything about SEMO’ vibe. It is quite fun.
