Why did I choose to attend Southeast?

I'd never really thought about attending Southeast Missouri State until I received information in the mail.  The letter invited me to a lunch where they would explain to me about SEMO and what it had to offer.  As I was on my way to  the University Center after parking my car, I was immediately impressed with the beauty of the campus.  I liked all the natural scenary, especially the terraces by Academic Hall.  I was also impressed by how kind everyone was to me.   The staff and students were more than helpful in answering any questions that I had. Before I came to visit Southeast, I was heavily leaning towards another Missouri college, but after seeing what Southeast was about and what it had to offer, I knew that Southeast was the college for me.

What have my experiences been as a Southeast student since I moved on-campus and classes began?

I've started to feel right at home at Southeast. I've met a ton of people here already. I've been doing at least one recreational activity every night. This includes playing sand volleyball, tennis, and basketball. Our floor also gets  poker games going, we play X-box, or watch movies. There's always something going on. The classes are going good.  I get plenty of sleep since all of my classes are within five minutes from my dorm.  I have homework, but it hasn't been anything I've not been able to handle.  I've also joined several activities.  I'm involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, working on becoming a member of the Residence Hall Association, and on an intramural tennis team. I've been doing so much around the campus I haven't really had the time yet to explore around Cape Girardeau, but I hopefully will get to eventually.
