Greg Pearson: Journal Entry 2/14/2007

This past Winter Break was a lot of fun for me. After my exams, which were challenging, but not too complicated, I went home to spend time with old friends and family. I was really exited to get to see my dog, who I miss terribly. I enjoyed getting to see everyone, but I missed all of my friends from SEMO at the same time. My family celebrated Christmas a little earlier this year so everyone could be together. Christmas morning was still the same however with family coming over for our traditional breakfast. Then, it was time for New Year’s. I brought in the New Year with some friends where I thought to myself that the past year has gone by so fast.

About 3 days before I was to return to SEMO, my family moved to another house, so I helped with the move. I came back to school 4 days early so I could get headshots made for my resume and to see a few friends who were already back in town.

The semester started and here it is the middle of February. I can hardly believe it. Classes so far are going wonderful. I have many fun classes like Tap, Acting, and Stage Combat, along with some general studies classes.

I can say that I am staying busy this semester, because I am in two shows right now, A Streetcar Named Desire, which opens February 23, and 42nd Street, which opens in April. Along with the shows, I am auditioning for summer jobs in St. Louis at the Midwest Theatre Association and in Atlanta at the Southeast Theatre Conference.  Although I am busy, I know that this semester will still be a blast and I look forward to spending time with friends.
