Why did I choose to attend Southeast?

I chose SEMO for many reasons a few being location, scholarships, activities, size, and reputation. SEMO is just the right distance away from home. It's far enough that I can't go home every weekend but, close enough so that I can go home when I want. The scholarships are also great. I received two: the University Scholarship and the Regional scholarship. These helped out a lot with the price, even though SEMO isn't that pricey in the first place. I also like SEMO because it offers pretty much everything a big school offers but, it is smaller. I like the personal attention and the 30 student classes. I had never heard of SEMO before I stumbled upon it during my college search but, everyone else knew something about it. Everyone had great things to say. One last thing was when I stepped onto the campus at SEMO, I fell in love and knew that it was the place for me. It is a beautiful campus and truly the whole package.

What have been my experiences as a Southeast student since I moved on-campus and classes began?

My experiences have been wonderful here. I came here not knowing anyone but, that quickly changed when I moved in. The second I moved in, I made friends on my floor. everyone here is friendly and very welcoming of friendship. My classes are great and my professors are too. I'm learning a lot and my education is making me want to learn more and more. The professors are encouraging of thinking outside of the box and examining your life. Coming to SEMO was one of the best things I've ever done and it's enhanced every aspect of my life.
