Megan Rapier: Journal Entry 11/26/2006 I haven't written in a while but that's because I've been so busy! The week of November 16th was my I-Week for my sorority. We had to stay at the Sorority house from Sunday night until Thursday. Thursday was when I was initiated! Beta Xi 1333. It was so exciting and a time that i will never forget. That weekend we held our philanthropy. It is called Sigma Shoot-out and the fraternities came and played basketball against each other on Saturday. On Friday night they performed a dance for us. That week I also got to sign up for classes. Students woke up at 4 a.m. with their perfect schedule in hand to sign up. Most people ended up having to switch classes and change a lot of things on their pre-set schedule because classes were full. On my day to sign up, I had an appointment with my advisor to switch my major so she signed me up for my classes while I was in her office. I got into everyone of the classes that I wanted, which was surprising. Then it was time to pack for break. I was so anxious to get home! When I got home it was nice to see family and old friends. I celebrated Thanksgiving, went out shopping on Black Friday and then celebrated my 19th birthday on Saturday! While in town, I did everything I can't do in Cape. Such as, eating at Luca Pizza, going to friends houses and eating a Horseshoe. Horseshoes were invented in Springfield and they are amazing! Though it is nice being home, I'm anxious to get back to school to see all of my friends. Only two weeks until finals and three weeks until Christmas break. Wow, this semester sure has gone by fast. |
