Today I woke up at 9. I went to my 9:30 First Year Seminar class. After that I went back to my room in New Hall and got together all my errands I had to run today. I went and returned 2 pairs of athletic shorts to the SEMO bookstore because they were too small. After that I drove to the Show Me Center to return 3 Dave Chappelle tickets because the show had been canceled. Once I finished that I drove to the post office to ship an item I sold on eBay but the post office had moved locations. So I opted to drive to the UPS Store by Buffalo Wild West Wings and ship the item there. I finished all my errands and got back to my room. My roommates alarm had not gone off and he had slept through a class and he was saying some profanities.
Tonight is the party of the century. Since I’ve been down at SEMO I rushed a fraternity. I don’t know if I can write which frat I’m in, but I can tell you it’s been the time of my life, and it’s only been 5 days in the frat!!!!!! I don’t know how tonight is going to be but if the other guys are telling the truth and if we have a repeat of last year, there will be 500+ people and the party doesn’t end until about 3 in the morning. Sweet. The stupid thing about being a freshman guy at SEMO is that the first 2 weeks you can’t go to any frat parties. It’s a rule. So absolutely no parties except for the occasional house party. After the first 2 weeks, rush starts and the parties begin.
One thing I can say is go to class and stay on top of your work! It is so easy to fall behind. Also you need to know the time to party and when to sit down and study. Get your priorities straight.
