Greg Schloss at Casino Night

Greg Schloss: Journal Entry 9/16/2004

School is hard! It’s tough juggling student government, fraternity pledgeship, school, trying to earn money, and trying to have a good time in between! Also trying to keep in shape and work out. It’s pretty sad whats happened to me. I stopped working out when I got here and I have already gained my freshman 15 in 2 weeks. What can I say? It’s good food. I weigh 155 pounds now. I was 140. I am real skinny. During waterpolo season in high school I was ripped. I had a huge back and awesome abs. I still have my form but I have some extra meat I need to sculpt into muscle.

Oh man ok I have a teacher who I despise. Well here is a fun example for everyone. The power all over campus went out a few days ago because of some power plant problems. Well I had a 1st draft done for her class but I needed to print it out because it was still on my disk. Well I went to her class and she asked for the papers. Myself, along with 5 others, couldn’t print out our papers. So she told us all, the 6 of us without papers, to leave the class because you need to have the report to do a peer edit in class. So myself along with 5 others got kicked out of her class and got a zero for that portion of the paper. Not cool.  Other than this teacher's antics I am doing good in school. I tend to joke around a bit too much but I get my work done.

I am meeting many new people through Greek life. It is amazing how much fun you can have in college. I had a bit too much fun this past Saturday night at our fraternity party house, “The Shack.” By the end of the night I had 4 girls numbers and an empty wallet from playing no limit Texas Hold’em.  I can’t wait for homecoming. I hear it is the biggest party and best time of the year to be a Greek. Student govt is fun. There are some strange people in stu-govt, but they are all very nice.
