Greg Schloss: Journal Entry 4/26/2005

Well, school is finally winding down. It's crazy how fast the year flew by. These past 2 semesters at Southeast have been the best times of my life. I have made so many new friends and memories this past year that it's hard to remember all of them. It’s hard to think I will be going home in less than 3 weeks and not seeing all my friends I see on a regular basis.

A week or so ago we got some new program on campus called the “Facebook”. I really don’t know what the point of it is but I guess its just a way to meet new people. It's actually pretty addicting. I walked into the computer lab one day and I saw almost every computer on the Facebook. On its website the facebook says, “The facebook is an online directory that connects people through social networks at colleges.” Don’t ask me what a social network is but it's cool to keep in touch with people from your high school that you graduated with.

School is getting pretty overwhelming right now. I have an 8 page report and a PowerPoint presentation due tomorrow. Also, I'm working on some math homework that I have to do online through a program called ALEKS. We learn out of the book and then get a book assignment, and then are expected to do ALEKS work which is math we have not learned about and are not covering.

I got a new car while down at SEMO. Two weeks ago, I went home and I got a 2005 Black Chevy Suburban. It is a pretty fun car.

This past weekend was my formal for Sigma Chi. We went to Memphis, Tennessee. My date and I drove there in the Suburban. It was a great drive. After we checked in we got ready for the formal dinner on Beale Street. It was a great time. I wish I could have stayed a few more days there with my date. I was having such an amazing time.
