Christina Vitale: Journal Entry 12/07/2007 Time has flown by! Finals are next week and I am done with all my classes! This week has been so much fun thanks to The University Players, the theatre and dance group on campus. It’s also been nuts with performances and rehearsals! I performed last night in the scenes the directing class presented. The second half of the performances is tonight, but unfortunately, I can’t go! I’m in Choral Union, and the choirs are presenting the Messiah in concert tonight and tomorrow night. I’m going to be busy! This week in my Stagecraft class, we learned about rigging. To demonstrate our knowledge of everything from turnbuckles to nicropress, we rigged up a couch swing from the scene shop ceiling. My acting professor, Dr. Dillon, came by and took a few swings in it. It was pretty funny. Finals aren’t going to be as bad as I thought they would. A lot of my classes just require term papers—so much less stressful than humongous comprehensive finals! I’m going home next Thursday. My dad is coming to help me load up everything I need to take home to St. Louis. Then on Friday I will be heading to Columbia to see my sister graduate. I’m looking so forward to break, and I bet you are too! |
