Are you interested in getting more involved on campus and looking to connect with fellow Southeast students?  Southeast has numerous student organizations ranging from club sports to hobbies, pre-professional programs, social clubs, and religious groups.  Southeast hosts a large enough campus community to meet almost any extracurricular desire.  Browse the Student Organization listings to find a group for you.  Information on when and where groups meet and how to join is listed on the individual student organization pages.

Student Organization Registration and Officer Changes

Once again, Campus Life and Events Services is offering the required Student Organization Info Sessions to begin the registration process for the 2015-16 academic year. Currently, we have three meeting options available and they typically last 30 minutes:

  • Monday, August 31st at 4pm in the UC Redhawk Room
  • Tuesday, September 1st at 1pm in the UC Redhawk Room
  • Wednesday, September 2nd at 12pm in the UC Redhawk Room

Only one person from your organization (any active member of your organization can be your representative and you can come on behalf of more than one organization you are in) must attend one of these meetings to be able to register your group. This meeting is a requirement of all new and returning student organizations. During the meeting, we will cover the online registration process, services and supplies available to your group, how to request Student Government funding, the Involvement Ambassador program, and other pertinent/important information for your organization. Once you have attended one of these sessions, you will then be able to make any updates to your registration, officers, or meeting/organization information. If you attended an early registration session in April, you do not need to attend again.

*Please note that if your organization does not complete the registration process by Friday, October 2, 2015, you will no longer be eligible to receive organization privileges such as free room reservations on campus, access to supplies in the Center for Student Involvement, and Student Government funding.

Student organizations interested in receiving funding from Student Government will need to meet with the SG Treasurer - Tyler Sayer (mailto: tjsayer1s@semo.edu) to apply for funding.
