Hey Ya’ll! So, last night’s performance in a misty rain didn’t go so well. We “got a talkin’ to” and everybody was pretty bummed. My flat mates and I stayed up until 2:00 am eating to get over our worries! You would not believe the amount of food we can eat! (Now, I’m not saying I ate all of this, but this is what we demolished) Pizza, fries, chicken nuggets, chips and salsa, cocoa pops, ramen noodles, Uncle Ben’s rice, Pasta shells, a cheeseburger, garlic bread, shortbread cookies, Oreos, Twix, Coke, Sprite, lemonade, chocolate milk and my new favorite snack: Nutella smeared on a banana, and I don’t even like bananas. We felt much better! Oh, did I tell you we have hot water now? We do.

Today, a few of us got up at 7:30 to head to the train station to go to ST. ANDREWS!!! For those who sadly don’t know, this is the Mecca of golf. The course is beautiful and I even got to pet the grass! I took my picture by the St. Andrews sign wearing my “Golf: An American Tradition” t-shirt. Haha! I asked the lady at the info desk what it would take to get to play today. Her reply was, “130 pounds for a greens fee, 40 pounds for a mandatory caddie, your own clubs, and a reservation from 2 months ago.” That is crazy! I checked out the gift shop and most of the prices were crazy!! I did purchase two items, and I got a fabulous deal!! Oh I can’t wait for everyone to see! One purchase is a surprise for someone and I bought myself an extremely nice micro fiber pullover jacket with the St. Andrews logo for 20 pounds, which was originally 150 pounds!

I’m happy I got the opportunity to pay homage to my hobby! We had gorgeous weather all day today, and the performance was much better. So, get this: As we were getting off the bus at our dorm, somebody says, “Is that Joan Rivers?” I said “Like you can honestly mistake Joan Rivers!” She walks on past and Mr. B chases her down saying “Joan, we’re an American Band!” She and her entourage actually paused for a moment to talk to us. She looks and sounds even stranger in person! Haha! Tomorrow is another fireworks performance, so tune into the Tattoo website and watch the webcam around 5:00 p.m.
