Edinburgh: "What? It's Raining in Scotland?...No way!"

Howdy! Well, it was another glorious rainy day in Scotland! Today has been a very lazy day for me. I slept until 11:30, which is a new record for me, had a Twix bar for lunch and then I headed up to the internet café where I stayed all afternoon with some of my friends watching videos on You Tube such as “Cruising in Kennett” and “Kitchens in Kennett.” Everybody got a good laugh. I also got caught up on some of the Olympic action.
Speaking of getting caught up; we were all catching up on U.S. news because we just don’t know anything that is happening over there. So, Brett Favre got traded to the Jets and Bernie Mac died!? That was some shocking news to hear about.
Tonight was a double performance night and fireworks show. The rain quit just in time for the first show, but started back up as we were stepping onto the esplanade for the second show. We got soaked, especially during the fireworks show, which was very smoky due to the rain. Once again, our plumes are in need of prayer!
Speaking of prayer, and on a more serious note, one of my flat mates found out yesterday that her dad has been diagnosed with leukemia, so please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. That is news that no one wants to find out, especially during the trip of a lifetime.
