(Right click then "Save As")Have you ever watched “American Gladiator”, “Throwdown”, “Wipeout”, or “Talk Soup”? Combine all of these with art and what you have is ART SLAM!
If you’re curious, then join us at the Crisp Museum for Art Slam. Art Slam is a lively debate/performance between individuals centered on an exhibition in the Greene Gallery at the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum on the River Campus. Hear from faculty, colleagues, and/or friends as they debate an exhibition in relation to their own disciplines. Audience members are encouraged to participate in the debate.
Art Slam will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 in the John and Betty Glenn Convocation Center at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus. Benjie Heu (Art Department), Dr. Melissa Odegard (Educational Leadership and Counseling), and Stephanie Lynch (Convention and Visitors Bureau) will debate The Art of the Brick exhibition.
Refreshments will be provided.
Want to Slam! We want to hear from you! No art background is needed to participate. Faculty, staff, and community members can apply.
