“Malcom McCrae: Transition Spaces 12.2,” an exhibition of airbrush paintings will
be displayed beginning September 4, 2012 in the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp
Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.
The public is invited to attend an opening reception from 4-8 p.m. on September 7, where McCrae will give a talk at 5 p.m. The exhibit will remain on display through October 21, 2012. Admission is free.
Malcolm McCrae is a mixed media artist who specializes in airbrushing with many of his pieces featuring jazz and rap musicians. McCrae said the most important aspects of what he does are not only to create, but to inspire. He especially focuses on working with young artists.
McCrae moved from Milwaukee to Southeast Missouri three years ago pursuing entrapraneuership. McCrae now lives in Sikeston, Mo., and owns an airbrushing studio.
The Crisp Museum is located in the Cultural Arts Center at Southeast Missouri State
University’s River Campus, 518 S. Fountain St., Cape Girardeau, Missouri. For more
