The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum presents Guild Hall: An Adventure in the Arts, from August 14 to November 1, 2009.

The public is invited to attend a reception on Friday, September 4, from 5-8 p.m.  The exhibit will remain on display through November 1.

The first ART SLAM!, a lively debate/performance between two individuals centered on this exhibition will be Thursday, October 22, at 6:30 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to participate in the debate.

This exhibit includes over 70 works by more than 40 artists, spanning the early 20th century to the present, who lived and worked in the East Hampton area. Included are works by Chuck Close, Willem de Kooning, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Motherwell, Jackson Pollock, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist and Andy Warhol.

Guild Hall: An Adventure in the Arts: Selections from the Permanent Collection of the Guild Hall Museum was organized by the Guild Hall Museum, East Hampton, NY in association with Landau Traveling Exhibitions, Los Angeles, CA.

The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum is the sponsor of this exhibition. Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
