Chris Wubbena: Speaking While Listening

The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum presents Chris Wubbena: Speaking While Listening, from July 2 to September 12, 2010.

The public is invited to attend a reception for the artist on Friday, September 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wubbena will give a gallery talk at 6 p.m. The exhibit will remain on display through September 12.

This exhibition includes multimedia sculptural installations, including small bronze and stainless steel sculptures, videos and audio works detailing the experience of returning to Vietnam for Chris and his father, Ed Wubbena, a Vietnam/American War veteran.

The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum is the sponsor of this exhibition. Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.

The Crisp Museum is located in the Cultural Arts Center at River Campus, 518 S. Fountain St., Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Museum hours Tues.-Fri.: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekends: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For additional information email museum@semo.edu or call (573) 651-2301.
