Crisp Museum Presents ‘Deindustrialization of America’ Lecture (4/1/2008)
The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Southeast Missouri Regional Museum will sponsor a lecture on the “Deindustrialization of America,” April 8 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the John and Betty Glenn Convocation Center at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus.
Remembering Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and His Letter from Birmingham Jail (4/1/2008)
Dr. Debra Miles will present “Remembering the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his Letter from the Birmingham Jail,” April 14 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the John and Betty Glenn Convocation Center at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus. The audience is invited to join in a discussion with Dr. Miles as they listen to Dr. King read aloud “The Letter from the Birmingham Jail,” King’s response to his critics after being jailed for fighting for equality.

Museum Exhibit Gives Insight to Life as a River Diver (10/19/2007)
When Southeast Missouri State University’s new Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Southeast Missouri Regional Museum opens the doors to its new crossroads theme at River Campus this weekend, a recent endowment from the former Golden Eagle River Museum will create a dramatic display detailing the history of a little-known part of the region’s riverboat era.

Visitors to Explore 'Crossroads' in New Museum (7/17/2007)
What is characteristic of this region? What is the essence of southeast Missouri? These are the questions University officials brainstormed as they developed a theme for the new Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Southeast Missouri Regional Museum set to open in October at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus. After numerous planning sessions, surveys of community members and interviews with historians and scientists, "we came to the theme 'crossroads,'" said Dr. Stanley Grand, director of the Crisp Museum.
