Lecture to Focus on Art Pricing Methods March 4 in Crisp Museum

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 28, 2008 – Art Pricing Methods will be the topic of a free lecture March 4 in the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Southeast Missouri Regional Museum at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus.

The lecture is planned for 6:30 p.m. in the Museum's classroom.

Ellen Hahs, curator of education at the Museum, will discuss knowing the value of your own artwork, how much your time is worth, how your art degree will help you set prices, the percentage that should be paid up front for commissions and how to get repeat customers after you've been paid.

Those who attend will hear some possible answers, learn several pricing formulas and participate in a discussion about pricing the fine art they have created.

For more information, call Ellen Hahs at (573) 651-2301 or ehahs@semo.edu.
