Laura Guyer Ross received her Bachelor of Music degree in Oboe Performance from Miami University in Ohio in 2003 and her Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance from Arkansas State University in 2005.   Ms. Ross also teaches oboe at Washington University and is adjunct faculty at St. Louis Community College - Meramec.   Ms. Ross performs as extra oboe for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with such ensembles as the Illinios Chamber Orchestra and the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Opera Theater of St. Louis and Opera South. In the summers of 2009 and 2010, she performed at the Innsbrook Festival and the Missouri River Arts Festival.  

An active supporter of chamber music, Ms. Ross has been heard in such chamber series as the Making Music Chamber Series at St. Louis Community College - Meramec, the Danforth Chamber Series (at Washington University), the Shepley Program of Music & Art, Friends of Music Concerts, and Sundays at Three in Cape Girardeau.  In April of 2010, Ms. Ross organized and performed in a chamber ensemble called "Wind Collaboration;" a combination of both St. Louis Symphony and local free-lance musicians.   

In April of 2007, Ms. Ross performed as soloist with the St. Louis Children’s Choir on the Classic 99 radio show, "From the Garden, Live!".   She also performed as a soloist with Forum Sinfonium, a touring chamber orchestra based in Krakow, Poland, in December of 2007.   Throughout March and April of 2008, Ms. Ross performed recitals and taught master classes in St. Louis MO, Cape Girardeau MO, and in Manchester, England at the Royal Northern College of Music.
