Southeast Guitar Ensemble to Perform in Recital Hall

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 15, 2012 – The Southeast Guitar Ensemble will perform in the “Fall Guitar Ensemble” concert, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.

The concert will showcase exciting music for guitar ensemble and solo guitar and will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Mauro Giuliani and others.

“The concert's going be great this semester,” said Patrick Rafferty, director of the Guitar Ensemble.

The program will be performed primarily by guitar performance majors. The guitar ensemble consists of Jacob Seyer of Scott City, Mo, Jake Tropf of Advance, Mo., John Walker of Ballwin, Mo., Adam Feather of Bowling Green, Mo., Logan Ward of Waterloo, Ill., Tiffany McKinney of Spencer, Ind., and soprano Brittany Graham of Cape Girardeau.

Two trios will perform contemporary works by Kevin Callahan, Robert Coinel and Southeast student Feather, Seyer and Graham will perform selections from the ultra-appealing “Folksong,” set by Benjamin Britten.
